Hey everyone! We’re switching things up today! The childhood stories I was telling were a lot of fun, and I’ll get back to them sometime soon, but I wanted to keep things fresh and leave myself some room to talk about what was on my mind, right now.
And, what’s on my mind right now is hedgehogs. I have two of them – Hazel, who is 3, and Clover, who is 1 1/2. Hazel is the small, dainty, cute one, and Clover is the big, dumb one. (Aww, who am I kidding? She’s cute too.) Hedgehogs are great pets for people who are allergic to cats & dogs – they’re neat (mostly), very quiet, and they’re litter trainable.
Hazel is the one in today’s strip, and the one sitting in my hand in the picture to the right. When I first got her, we were living in a very small, rather chilly apartment. The warmest, most out of the way spot in the apartment was right under my drawing table. And so, that’s where Hazel grew up! When she first came home, she could stand in the palm of my hand, and I have tiny hands!!
I guess what I’m saying is – I love my hedgehogs. Even when they poop on me.

We currently have a wild hedgehog over the winter. I know it’s not quite the same as a pet hedgehog, but every time we had one stay in our house over the winter, I was all asquee over it. ^_^
Darn, now you made me consider getting a hedgehog as pet too. No. Must not waver from the tortoise path. >_<

Hey, this strip is great so far. I did WG from start to present in a single marathon read. All thegeeks could be facets of my somewhat twisted personality. 😉 One question.
