Preaching to the choir

When your teenage sister calls you up to rant about how terrible Twilight is… That, my friends, is a wonderful feeling.

Also, remember how I said I’d explain on Friday why I was doing strips about my sister? Yeah, I got my dates mixed up.  I’ll explain why on *Monday*. 🙂

Tell your sister to read Soulless by Gail Carriger. Liana K, after I gave her the book, described it as “The book Twilight should have been.”

Whenever someone tels me that it’s ok that Twighlight us so poorly written is because it’s for kids. I reply “Well do is Harry Potter but it’s well written. Seriously I can’t see how Twighlight snuck past a editor. Is it ok to teach kids poor grammar skills?”

    Bad dates!
And if your sister likes irish humor with her fantasy, she should definitively read Artemis Fowl…

Sadly, my younger brother read the series, and he liked them, except for ‘Breaking Dawn’. I just saw two of the movies, and I won’t read the books. They were so BORING! We’re gonna read the ‘Hunger Games’ trilogy. I might try the Percy Jackson series (I LOVE Greek Mythology) and I read one of the Artemis Fowl books. I’m gonna look for others. If your sister likes fantasy, tell her to look for the ‘Mancer series by Don Callander (Pyromancer, Aquamancer, Geomancer, Aeromancer and Marbleheart). I’ve gotten all but the last book and I loved them.

Alina’s Mom’s scanner crapped out on the weekend… she has to run to a Staples to scan in the comic. Never fear, it will appear before the end of the day! 🙂
